Erdogan: NATO members not “strong enough” and “do not have the cheek” to stand up to Turkey

Erdogan is likely right about most of the members of NATO. But President Trump ought to have “the cheek” to acknowledge the present realities regarding Turkey, end our sham alliance with it, and boot it out of NATO.
“NATO members are not powerful enough to stand up to Turkey – Erdogan,” Ahval, March 10, 2018 (thanks to Joshua):
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in a speech to crowd in south city of Mersin, slammed fellow NATO members, saying that “if NATO members were strong enough in Syria, they would have stood up to us openly and clearly. But they do not have the cheek, and hence Turkey is standing up.”
A day before, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Çavuşoğlu told a German newspaper that “NATO is our home.” Çavuşoğlu also responded to talk that Turkey no longer fit into the NATO alliance, saying to the same German paper, “We are one of (NATO’s) key allies. This is our strategic choice. Nobody can expel us, it is technically impossible. We will not permit our NATO membership to be questioned.”
