Saudi Imam on Executions: An Eye for an Eye, an Evil Eye for an Evil Eye

Saudi Imam Zayd Bin Musfir Al-Bahri recently discussed how the punishment of execution for premeditated murder should be carried out.

While some jurisprudents call for beheading by the sword, Sheikh Al-Bahri said that he espoused killing the perpetrator by the same method used to kill his own victim. Shooting, drowning, strangulation, poisoning, or throwing the victim to a lion or a snake den are just a few of the examples given by Sheikh Al-Bahri. If a person kills by giving someone "the evil eye," another person familiar with the evil eye should be brought over to execute him.

He said in a video he posted on his YouTube channel on November 7.
