The greater security threat: ISIS or Iran?

Dr. Herbert I. London, president of the London Center for Policy Research, unveils the most pernicious danger on the horizon.

Dr. Herbert London is currently the president of the London Center for Policy Research, and senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute. He is the former president of the Hudson Institute. Herb is also professor emeritus and the former John M. Olin Professor of Humanities at New York University. He is responsible for creating the Gallatin School of Individualized Study in 1972, and was its dean until 1992. The school promotes the study of “great books and classic texts.”
Joseph Puder (JP): Please tell us about the mission of the London Center for Policy Research. What are its goals, and how does it operate?
Herb London (HL): The London Center was organized to promote an independent, non-partisan analysis of “hot spots” on the globe and how to think strategically about them. In the areas where possible mitigation exits, the LCPR offers a variety of recommendations. Because of contacts cultivated in Washington, DC, the LCPR has established a regular seminar series on the Hill for staffers and elected officials, all designed to influence policy and future legislation.
JP: Who do you perceive to be a greater security threat, ISIS or the Islamic Republic of Iran?
HL: An Iran with nuclear weapons or a pathway to obtain them is a far more dangerous threat than ISIS. Moreover, Iran has created an empire of sorts with capitals in Damascus, Sanna, Bagdad, and Beirut. Should Iran obtain $150 billion with the lifting of sanctions, that money could be used to bolster its interests with Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis. Using surrogates, the Iranians will likely extend their interests throughout the region with the prize being Saudi oil fields in the eastern part of the country which has a regional majority of Shia residents. Should Iran control Saudi and Iraqi oil along with its own deposits, it will control two-thirds of the world’s oil supply and be in a position to dictate oil prices.
ISIS is a relatively minor threat that has morphed into a formidable threat due to inaction and a hopelessly incompetent Iraqi military force. Using barbarism as a tactic, it has carved out a swath of territory in Iraq and Syria. If the U.S. were serious about launching a genuine attack against ISIS, it could be eliminated in a relatively short period.

Mosques and Massacres

Mosques and Massacres

by William Kilpatrick
Crisis Magazine

On June 26, Saif Rezgui walked on to a beach in Tunisia and opened fire on German, British, and Irish sunbathers in front of the Imperial Marhaba resort hotel, killing 39 and wounding dozens more.

There was one notable exception to the usual nothing-to-do-with-Islam mantra. Immediately after the attack, Tunisia’s prime minister, Habib Essid, ordered the closing of 80 mosques.

Not all mosques are centers of extremist radicalization. On the other hand, it’s likely that the average Westerner grossly underestimates the percentage of radical mosques. Fr. Samir Khalil Samir, an Egyptian Jesuit who is also an expert on Islam, writes:
In many Muslim countries … the mosques are monitored by the police on Friday. There is a simple reason for this: many political decisions start from the mosque during the Friday khutba [sermon]. Historians of Islam know that many riots and revolutions were launched from the mosques and that jihad is often proclaimed during the khutba.
Not coincidentally, many of the Arab Spring demonstrations in 2011 were set in motion from mosques following Friday prayers. And again, it’s probably no coincidence that Rezgui scheduled his massacre for a Friday during the holy month of Ramadan.

Christians assume that mosques, like churches, are simply places of prayer. Many of them are, but many mosques are also places of recruitment and radicalization—staging areas for jihad. Subsequent to the beach massacre, weapons caches were found in forty Tunisian mosques. As a popular Muslim poem puts it, “The mosques are our barracks, the domes our helmets, the minarets our bayonets, and the faithful our soldiers.”

Dr Ali Sina: Muhammad: A Torturer

From ex-Muslim Dr. Ali Sina`s famous Challenge. "Understanding Muhammad" is a book by him:

Muhammad: A Torturer by Ali Sina

(From: Understanding Muhammad)

Ibn Ishaq (pronounced Isaac), the first biographer of Muhammad narrates the story of the conquest of Kheibar. He reports that Muhammad, without warning, raided this fortress town, inhabited by Jews and killed many unarmed people as they were fleeing. Among those captured was Kinana. He writes:

Kinana al-Rabi, who had the custody of the treasure of Banu Nadir, was brought to the apostle who asked him about it.  He denied that he knew where it was.  A Jew came (Tabari says “was brought”) to the apostle and said that he had seen Kinana going to a certain ruin every morning early. When the apostle said to Kinana, “Do you know that if we find you have it (the treasure) I shall kill you?”  He said, “Yes.”  The apostle gave orders that the ruin was to be excavated and some of the treasure was found. When he asked him about the rest (of the treasure?) he refused to produce it, so the apostle gave orders to al-Zubayr Al-Awwam, “Torture him until you extract what he has.”  So he kindled a fire with flint and steel on his chest until he was nearly dead.  Then the apostle delivered him to Muhammad b. Maslama and he struck off his head, in revenge for his brother Mahmud.[1]

On the same day that Muhammad tortured to death the youthful Kinana, he took his seventeen year old wife Safiya to a tent for sexual intercourse.

MUSLIMS HAVE A BAN ON “DEPICTING” MUHAMMAD, and they have the cheek to expect everyone to obey the ban, Muslim or not. The general explanation is that images are forbidden because they could become objects of worship and therefore incite idolatry. For a Muslim, idolatry is the chief sin because it means worship of something other than God.
Of course, any non-Muslim with a lick of self respect would tell these folks to take a hike and would “depict” the Muslim holy man if only to show that they are not about to bow down to foreigners and their foreign ideas, particularly foreigners pushing something like Muhammad’s cult.
This is what Pamela Geller did in Garland, Texas, on Sunday that resulted in a couple of jihadi wannabes swinging by as the event closed and opening fire on security guards standing outside. They got what was coming to them — swift justice.

Muslims have another reason for their ban on “depicting” Muhammad and threatening people who do so, and it is likely the primary reason. It’s because they have something to hide about Muhammad. They don’t want you to get too close because what they are hiding about him is extremely disturbing. So they scream islamophobia, they threaten you, and they inspire wannabe terrorists to go after you if you venture too close.
What are they hiding is his rap sheet — his crimes of mass murder, assassination, plunder, enslavement, genocide, and others to his name. Crimes against humanity. If I were a Muslim, I think I would want to hide this too. I would fear that these embarrassing events would discredit him as a prophet and call into question the validity of what he claimed about himself. I might even want to hide this from myself, or at least push it far back into the dark recesses of my mind so I don’t have to think about it. Who really wants to admit they worship evil?
Geller is a self-respecting American who has been at the forefront of telling these foreigners with their foreign ideas to take a hike, and she has been doing this for a long time. Her work is both an exercise in free speech and exposé, for the entries at the Muhammad depiction event were intended to draw attention to the evil that is at the root of Islam, which is to say, Muhammad.
If it had not been for the foreign intervention, the event might not have gotten much media attention. The aspiring killers did everyone a favor except to themselves by their intervention. Now people around the globe will be aware of the event. They will know its purpose.

Citizen Warrior: Blueprint for Jihadists

Blueprint for Jihadists
by Citizen Warrior

If you excerpted the parts of Islamic texts on jihad, you would get a short how-to book. That is what follows. The article below might be called, How To Wage Jihad in a Nutshell, Updated For The 21st Century, taken from the pages of Islam's texts.
The important thing is to know what is being planned, and that they are deliberately hiding their intentions — that's part of the plan.

Kindly, read this interesting, instructive and worthwhile article at the excellent Citizen Warrior website, here.

Raymond Ibrahim: Christians Burn While Pope Worries about ‘Worldly’ Matters: Muslim Persecution of Christians, June 2015

Christians Burn While Pope Worries about ‘Worldly’ Matters: Muslim Persecution of Christians, June 2015

by Raymond Ibrahim, August 3, 2015

Indifference to the plight of persecuted Christians around the world was highlighted in June when Pope Francis released his first independent encyclical.
Although the Pope warned against things like global warming and issues dealing with the environment, he did not mention the plight of persecuted Christians—even though he is well acquainted with it and even though previous popes mentioned it at times when Christians experienced a small fraction of the persecution they are today.
